I HAVE PRE-ECLAMPSIA -HOW WILL I KNOW MY SIZE
If you have pre-eclampsia, you are likely carrying extra fluid. Our recovery shorts and leggings are ideal for wearing after birth to help with fluid loss, but when choosing your size now, please keep the swelling in mind. You might need to select a smaller size and wait for the fluid to reduce over the first week before the garment fits comfortably. Alternatively, you can wait until the swelling has reduced after delivery to have your measurement taken.
Please get someone to measure you as per the video. Size Guide – SRC Health
Do not take your own measurement. Compression garments require accurate fit to function. Be measured in your underwear only. Stand with your heels together and have the person measuring you keep the measuring tape straight. They should place the tape over your hips, pubic bone and bottom at the fullest part. The tape should touch your body at all points but not be pulled tight.
Let us know your measurement and we will be able to guide you re sizing.
How and when to measure to SELECT A Pregnancy garment:
The Pregnancy garment is available in (2) styles and in 3 lengths (mini/short and Legging) – the ‘under the bump and over the bump’. Selection of the style is a personal preference.

HOW AND WHEN DO I MEASURE FOR SRC RECOVERY GARMENTS
We recommend that you have yourself measured from 36 weeks. If you are in between sizes please choose the smaller size as you will lose fluid post-delivery. Do not take your own measurement. WHY SHOULD THE FIT AND FEEL BE LIKE A SECOND SKIN
The fit and feel of the SRC Garments should be like a second skin because this ensures gentle, consistent support without restricting movement or causing discomfort. A snug, skin-like fit helps to effectively manage swelling, provide compression where needed, and promote circulation, all while allowing you to move naturally and feel comfortable throughout your recovery.
WHEN I SHOULD START WEARING THE RECOVERY AFTER MY C-SECTION
We recommend you start to wear the garment as soon as possible; you can begin as early as day 1 post your C-Section. Wear the garment to comfort and increase the number of hours daily until you can wear it 24/7 You will need help to put it on the first few times as your wound will be tender.
SCAR REPAIR CARE
1. Do silicone scar sheets or silicone scar tape actually work?
Yes. Several clinical trials have proven that silicone scar gel sheets effectively soften and flatten scars and reduce the appearance of hypertrophic and keloid scars. [1] Silicone-based therapies are considered the first-line and gold-standard treatment for scars. [2]
2. How quickly do silicone scar sheets work?
You’ll typically see improvements within 8 weeks. For older scars, consistent use of silicone gel sheets over 12-24 weeks delivers the best results.
3. Can silicone scar sheets help with old scars?
Absolutely. SRC silicone scar sheets effectively improve scars that are years or decades old, whether they are stretch marks, burns, keloids, or surgical scars.
4. How long should you leave silicone scar sheets on?
Start by wearing your silicone scar sheets for 4–8 hours daily, gradually increasing to at least 12 hours per day, and ideally up to 24 hours, for best results.
5. Can you sleep with silicone scar sheets on?
Absolutely. SRC’s silicone gel sheets are thin, breathable, and flexible, making them comfortable enough to wear overnight. Continuous wear boosts effectiveness.
6. Can you shower with SRC silicone scar sheets?
Yes. SRC silicone scar sheets are waterproof, so there's no need to remove them when showering. Just gently pat dry afterwards to maintain adhesion.
7. How many times can SRC silicone scar sheets be reused?
With proper care, each silicone scar sheet can be reused daily for up to two weeks. Replace the sheet if it becomes worn, dirty, or loses its adhesive properties.
HOW DO SILICONE SHEETS WORK
Silicone scar sheets work by creating an optimal healing environment for the skin. The sheets form a protective barrier that locks in moisture, accelerating cell turnover and collagen production. This process helps to flatten and soften scar tissue, reducing its appearance. The silicone also reduces skin tension around the scar, minimizing the risk of scar widening or hypertrophy. The end result is a less noticeable, smoother scar that blends more naturally with the surrounding skin.
MY SRC GARMENT IS TIGHT AROUND TOP OF KNEE AND LEAVING A MARK
- Incorrect Sizing: Even with accurate waist and hip measurements, compression garments may not fit all leg shapes perfectly. A too-tight fit around the knee could indicate the garment is too small in the leg area.
- Garment Positioning: It's important that the gusset panel is pulled up properly into the perineal area for therapeutic benefit. If the shorts aren’t positioned correctly, it might cause undue tightness in other areas, including the knees.
- Garment Length Choice: SRC garments come in different lengths—mini, knee-length, and leggings. You may want to choose a different length
- Normal Initial Compression: As these garments are designed with True Cross Compression and medical-grade support, some snugness is normal. However, if the tightness leads to discomfort or visible skin indentation, it’s recommended to re-evaluate sizing.
Next Steps
- Check the garment size label against your most current measurements.
- Re-fit the garment ensuring it is properly aligned and seated (especially the gusset).
- Consider switching to another length.

COMPRESSION SOCKS AND SRC SHORTS & LEGGINGS
Yes, it’s ok to wear your pregnancy short as well as your compression socks, BUT NOT TOGETHER. The Pregnancy short is also available in legging with graduated compression that allows for good venous return and convenience of use. DO NOT WEAR THE LEGGINGS AND THE SOCKS TOGETHER.
Attached is the graduated compression illustration to show.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any other queries.
ARE SRC LEGGINGS SUITABLE TO WEAR ON A LONG-HAUL FLIGHT.
All SRC leggings are safe and comfortable to wear on long-haul flights. However, if you have a history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) they are not sufficient on their own as a precaution against DVT. The graduated compression level is intentionally lower than what is typically prescribed for DVT prevention.
PREGNANCY UNDER THE BUMP FALLING DOWN
Why the Garment May Be Falling Down
- Incorrect Size: If the shorts are too large, they won’t provide effective compression or stay in place.
- Gusset Not Properly Positioned: The garment must be pulled well into the perineal area for correct support and function.
- Your baby is sitting very low: If your baby is low, you may be pushing the garment down. In this case changing to the over the bump style may be best.
Suggested Solutions
- Re-check Your Size:
- Ensure you’re wearing the recommended size. Use the SRC Health Size Guide or let us help you assess.
- Ensure Proper Positioning:
- The gusset piece must sit firmly against the perineum. This is crucial for therapeutic effect and garment stability.
- Change Style for Better Fit:
Need a Different Size or Style?
We’re happy to help with an exchange! If you feel the current size or style isn’t right for you:
- You can exchange for another size if the fit is too loose or too tight.
- You can swap to a different style or length.
Please see exchange/refund policy https://srchealth.com/pages/exchanges-refunds
PREGNANCY OVER THE BUMP LEGGINGS FALLING DOWN
If your SRC Pregnancy Leggings with the over-the-bump waistband are falling down, it may be due to incorrect sizing or because your bump isn’t yet large enough to hold the waistband in place. Early in pregnancy, the leggings may slip if there isn’t enough tummy to support them. As your pregnancy progresses and your bump grows, the fit should improve. In the meantime, you can try wearing a cami or snug-fitting top over the waistband to help keep the leggings in place.
We’re happy to help with an exchange! If you feel the current size or style isn’t right for you:
- You can exchange for another size if the fit is too loose or too tight.
- You can swap to a different style or length.

If your under-the-bump garment is falling down, it may be worth trying an over-the-bump style for better anchoring and support, especially if you're in the later stages of pregnancy or carrying low.
PREGNANCY OVER THE BUMP/ TIGHT TUMMY AREA
The sensation of tightness is subjective and varies from person to person, some women prefer a snug fit, while others feel more comfortable with a looser garment. The top section of the garment is specifically designed to accommodate a growing bump. It does not provide compression and poses no risk to the baby. Made with 33% elastane, the lace waistband is highly stretchable and has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and flexibility throughout the entire pregnancy. If you would prefer to exchange your garment for another size or style, please see link https://srchealth.com/pages/exchanges-refunds
PREGNANCY AND LOW-LYING PLACENTA
SRC Pregnancy Shorts and Leggings will not in any way affect the low-lying placenta. The front panel of the pregnancy garment sits on the symphysis pubis and provides low level compression to the area whilst sitting high on the back providing support and stability to the back and pelvis.
Please make sure that you have the correct size. Size Guide – SRC Health
CAN I WEAR THE RECOVERY SHORT DURING PREGNANCY?
NO, we do not recommend wearing or even trying on any of the SRC Recovery compression garments during any stage of pregnancy.
We do however have the Pregnancy compression leggings and shorts that is ideal for providing pain relief during pregnancy and treating low back pain, pelvic girdle pain, vulval varicosities and mild to moderate leg varicose veins.
CAN I WEAR MY PREGNANCY GARMENT AFTER I DELIVER
While SRC Pregnancy Shorts or Leggings provide excellent support during pregnancy, they are not designed for abdominal or pelvic recovery after birth.
After delivery, whether vaginal or C-section, your body needs targeted medical-grade compression to:
- Support abdominal muscle separation (DRAM)
- Aid C-Section wound healing
- Relieve perineal pain/trauma or swelling
- Improve core and pelvic stability
Only SRC Recovery Shorts or Leggings provide this level of postnatal therapeutic support, backed by clinical research.
Pelvic Girdle Pain Resource
https://srchealth.com/pages/pelvic-girdle-pain
CAN I WEAR SHAPEWEAR POST PARTUM FOR ABDOMINAL SEPARATION
We do not recommend wearing shapewear during the postpartum recovery phase. Shapewear is designed primarily for aesthetic purposes and is not suitable for prolonged wear, as it can restrict movement, deactivate core muscles, and compromise recovery if worn for extended periods.
In contrast, SRC Health garments offer gentle, medical-grade compression that is specifically designed to support healing without inhibiting muscle function. This therapeutic level of compression allows for safe, continuous wear, day and night, delivering 24-hour support and pain relief.
The SRC Recovery Shorts and Leggings feature patented Anatomical Support Panels, including an abdominal panel that applies targeted compression. This encourages constant, low-level muscle activation, which has been shown to reduce inter-rectus distance (Diastasis Rectus Abdominis) and support the restoration of core strength and body shape post-delivery.
CAN I WEAR SHAPEWEAR FOR PREGNANCY PELVIC GIRDLE PAIN, LOW BACK PAIN AND VULVAL VARICOSITIES
Wearing shapewear during pregnancy is not recommended for managing conditions such as pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, or vulval varicosities. Shapewear is designed for cosmetic shaping, not therapeutic support. It lacks anatomical targeting, can restrict movement, and may deactivate muscles if worn for extended periods, potentially causing damage.
In contrast, SRC Pregnancy garments are specifically engineered with gentle, medical-grade compression to provide continuous, targeted support during pregnancy. Their patented Anatomical Support Panels help manage and relieve pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, and vulval varicosities by enhancing pelvic stability, supporting circulation, and maintaining muscle engagement, all the while being comfortable enough for 24-hour wear.
WHAT IF I HAVE HAD MY BABY MANY WEEKS/MONTHS AGO OR A FEW YEARS AGO WILL THE RECOVERY SHORTS WORK FOR ABDOMINAL SEPARATION
Yes, it's never too late to address Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (abdominal muscle separation). Healing can still occur well beyond the immediate postpartum period. SRC Recovery Shorts are designed to provide gentle, medical-grade compression that supports the abdominal wall and encourages muscle reactivation and alignment.
We recommend wearing the Recovery Shorts consistently, day and night, for 3 to 4 months. For optimal results, this should be combined with a structured and individualises program guided by a women’s health physiotherapist, which generally will incorporating clinical Pilates targeting deep core and pelvic floor muscles. This integrated approach can significantly reduce the inter-rectus distance, improve core stability, and assist in restoring abdominal function and strength.
ARE THE SRC RECOVERY GARMENTS BENEFICIAL POSTPARTUM
Yes, SRC Recovery Shorts and Leggings are highly beneficial in the postpartum period. Designed with patented Anatomical Support Panels, these garments help prevent excess fluid from draining into your perineum and legs.
The integrated abdominal support panel gently activates the core muscles, which are often weakened or stretched during pregnancy. This targeted support not only improves core stability and supports your spine and abdominal organs but also assists in a safer recovery.
For best results, we recommend wearing the Recovery garment day and night for 3 to 4 months, alongside a rehabilitation program guided by a women’s health physiotherapist, ideally one that includes clinical Pilates. This combination enhances muscle recovery, promotes healing, and supports long-term strength and function.
WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF COMPRESSION IN THE TUMMY AREA OF THE SRC GARMENTS
There is currently no internationally standardised method for measuring compression around the torso or abdominal area, as individual body shapes and sizes vary significantly.
In SRC Pregnancy garments, compression in the back and pelvic areas is created by a triple-layered fabric design, which delivers consistent support, but the exact level of compression may vary from person to person.
In SRC Recovery garments, the abdominal support is provided through dual-layered anatomical panels that apply gentle, medical-grade compression to the core. While the compression is not quantified in mmHg over the trunk, it is clinically designed to activate and support the abdominal muscles without restricting movement or causing muscle deactivation.
WHY MEASURE AT 36 WEEKS FOR SRC RECOVERY GARMENTS
We recommend that mothers have themselves measured at 36 weeks onward, to ensure the most accurate sizing for your SRC Recovery garment.
The 36-week mark is ideal for measuring because, by this stage of pregnancy, weight and fluid gain generally stabilise. Measuring at this time also ensures you have sufficient time to order, receive your garment, and pack it in your hospital bag in preparation for delivery.
HOW LONG SHOULD i WEAR MY RECOVERY SHORTS FOR
You can wear your SRC Recovery Shorts for as long as you feel they’re helping; there’s no strict time limit. Most women start wearing them very soon after birth even day 1 and continue for 8-12 weeks. It is best to continue wearing them until any abdominal separation is healed.
Here’s a general guide:
- First few weeks: Start as soon as day 1 post-delivery, or as soon as you feel comfortable. Wear them daily for as long as you can, especially when you're up and about.
- After that: You can keep wearing them as long as they’re providing support and comfort, some women continue for several months, especially if dealing with abdominal separation, back pain, or pelvic floor issues.
COLLABORATION
We are always happy to collaborate with content creators and use the opportunity to educate and advance health and wellbeing of women especially during this most joyous but also challenging period of pregnancy and postpartum.
Please email info@srchealth.com with what you had in mind, and we can provide you with our collaboration guidelines.
CAN I WEAR SRC GARMENTS FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS
SRC Compression Garments can be helpful for managing symptoms of endometriosis, particularly pelvic and lower abdominal pain. These garments are designed to provide gentle, targeted support that may help reduce discomfort from bloating, inflammation, and muscular fatigue often associated with the condition.
Choosing the Right Garment
- SRC Restore Shorts or Leggings are generally recommended for endometriosis-related pelvic pain.
- Choose Leggings if you also experience back, hip, or leg pain, or prefer full leg coverage.
- Choose Shorts if you prefer a lighter option, especially in warmer weather.
How to Wear Them
- Start gradually: Wear the garment for 2–4 hours a day initially and gradually increase the time as your body adjusts.
- Aim for daily wear during flare-ups or when experiencing discomfort. Many women find consistent daily wear (8–10 hours) most beneficial.
- Can be worn under clothes during the day and even while sleeping if this provides relief.
- The garments should feel supportive and comfortable, never tight or restrictive.
During Your Menstrual Cycle
- You may find the compression especially helpful during your period, when bloating and pain are often worse.
- Some women wear their SRC garment specifically during the first few days of their cycle for added support and relief.
Important Notes
- SRC garments are not a cure for endometriosis but may be a valuable part of your pain management plan.
- Always consult your healthcare provider for a comprehensive approach to managing endometriosis symptoms.
What’s the Difference Between SRC Recovery and SRC rehab Garments?
Both garments are made from the same high-quality fabric and feature similar anatomical support panels, so the key difference comes down to style and functionality.
- SRC Rehab has been designed specifically for post-surgical recovery. It comes in shorts high waist only. Please note that it is now only available in selected sizes as we are phasing that garment out.
- SRC Recovery garments are a more versatile and have been specifically designed for postpartum recovery. They come in leggings, shorts, and mini shorts, all with a high waist for optimal support. The shorts and mini shorts are available in black and champagne colours.
OVER THE BUMP (OTB) PREGNANCY GARMENT DESCRIPTION
SRC Pregnancy Garments OTB were developed in consultation with obstetricians to provide targeted support during pregnancy. Featuring carefully placed anatomical panels, the garment delivers gentle, consistent medical-grade compression that supports without restricting movement or comfort.
Each anatomical support panel has a specific purpose:
- The gusset panel provides gentle but effective compression to help reduce the discomfort and pressure associated with vulval varicose veins and symphysis pubis discomfort.
- The lower abdominal panel supports the weight of your growing belly, reducing strain on your pelvic joints and muscles and helps with round ligament pain.
- The back panel helps improve posture and ease lower back and pelvic girdle pain by offering support to the lumbar region.
- The upper abdominal panel is made from soft, stretchy fabric that grows with your bump, ensuring ongoing comfort as your pregnancy progresses.
All panels are made using multiple layers of fabric, cut on different planes to create true cross-compression, which enhances support without bulk. Our unique, breathable and moisture wicking materials have undergone independent testing to ensure they meet the highest quality standards, so you can feel confident and comfortable every day.
COMPRESSION FOR BROKEN RIBS
Gentle compression can be helpful during recovery, but the elastic in our shorts and leggings may be too firm and could cause discomfort, especially if the area is sensitive. You might find a compression top or singlet more suitable. Brands like Under Armour and others offer these, and they’re widely available at sports stores.
In the past, doctors often used compression wraps, elastic bandages wrapped tightly around the chest, to help stabilise injuries like broken ribs. However, these are no longer recommended because they can restrict deep breathing, which increases the risk of complications like pneumonia.
That’s why any compression during recovery needs to be gentle enough not to inhibit muscle function or breathing yet still offer enough support to help you feel more comfortable. A well-fitted sports compression top can provide this balance — supporting the area without affecting your ability to breathe deeply or move naturally.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SRC PREGNANCY AND RECOVERY GARMENTS:
SRC garments are designed to support women through the unique physical demands of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. While both offer targeted compression and all-day comfort, they are engineered for very different purposes.
SRC Pregnancy Garments
SRC Pregnancy Shorts and Leggings are designed with patented anatomical support panels that provide targeted compression to relieve:
- Lower back pain
- Pelvic girdle pain (including SIJ and pubic bone pain)
- Sciatica
- Vulval varicosities
- Varicose veins of the legs
The True Cross Compression (TCC) technology ensures support is maintained during movement and throughout the day. The unique design helps support the baby-carrying pelvis and reduce strain, aiding in maintaining pelvic stability and preparing the body for delivery.
These garments can typically be used across multiple pregnancies, provided they are well cared for, thanks to their durability tested across 100 washes.
SRC Recovery Garments
SRC Recovery Shorts and Leggings are not suitable during pregnancy due to their medical-grade compression applied across the abdominal area. They are specifically designed for use postpartum to support recovery from:
- Abdominal muscle separation (DRAM)
- C-section wounds
- Perineal trauma and stitches
- Postnatal low back pain
The anatomical support panels in the Recovery range stimulate muscle activation even at rest, reducing abdominal muscle separation and aiding wound healing.
These garments are also long-lasting and may be reused for subsequent pregnancies unless there is a significant change in body shape.

TUMMY TUCK RECOVERY SUPPORT GARMENT
Yes, SRC Recovery or SRC Rehab garments are ideal for use after a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) or similar abdominal surgery. These garments are specifically designed to provide:
- Continuous, gentle compression over the wound and surrounding muscles
- Reduced swelling and post-operative pain
- Improved healing conditions
- Easier and safer mobility during recovery
They are suitable for a range of abdominal procedures, including tummy tuck and liposuction, and help support your body as it heals.
You can explore more on the benefits of compression after surgery from trusted clinical sources here:
SINCE WEARING THE RECOVERY, I NOTICED THAT I AM BLEEDING MORE
Some women may experience a slight increase in bleeding as the Recovery Shorts stimulate muscle activity in the abdominal and pelvic areas.
We recommend pausing wear for a few days, then gradually resuming. It's also important to ensure you are wearing the correct size, if the shorts are too tight, they may apply excessive compression, which is not ideal during early recovery.
HAMSTRING INJURY RECOVERY – SRC LEGGINGS
The SRC Leggings can offer valuable support for hamstring injuries by providing continuous, gentle compression to the hamstring and surrounding muscles. This targeted support helps to:
- Reduce pain and inflammation
- Minimise swelling
- Promote circulation and healing
- Improve mobility during recovery
The anatomical design and medical-grade compression make SRC garments a comfortable and effective option for managing soft tissue injuries like hamstring strains or tears.
LOCHIA
Lochia is the normal vaginal discharge that occurs after childbirth as the uterus sheds its lining. It consists of blood, mucus, and uterine tissue, and typically lasts for 4 to 6 weeks postpartum.
The flow usually follows this pattern:
- Days 1–4: Bright red bleeding (Lochia rubra)
- Days 5–10: Lighter bleeding, pink or brown (Lochia serosa)
- After day 10: Yellowish or white discharge (Lochia alba)
Important Notes for SRC Garment Wearers:
- Lochia is a normal part of postpartum recovery. However, if you notice a sudden increase in bleeding after starting to wear SRC Recovery Shorts or Leggings, it may be because the garment is stimulating muscle activity, including uterine contractions.
- If this occurs, pause wearing the garment for a few days, then gradually resume.
- Ensure you are wearing the correct size, a garment that is too tight may cause excess compression.
Always consult your healthcare provider if bleeding becomes heavy, includes large clots, or has a strong odour.
CAN I WEAR SRC RESTORE FOR RECTAL PROLAPSE
The Restore garment has not been tested on the rectal prolapse population so we have no research to say that it helps with this condition. However, we do know that it helps stimulate the pelvic floor muscles so it will benefit the stability of the rectum. We also have had several satisfied customers were the Restore garment for this condition. Here’s how to take correct measurement and select your size - https://srchealth.com/pages/size-guide

PREGNANCY LEGGINGS – OVER-THE-BUMP WAISTBAND FEELS TOO TIGHT
If the over-the-bump waistband of your SRC Pregnancy Leggings feels uncomfortably tight, it may be due to sizing or changes in your body during pregnancy.
While the leggings are designed to provide gentle, medical-grade compression, they should not feel overly restrictive or cause discomfort. A snug fit is expected, but any persistent tightness should be addressed.
A few things to consider:
- Check your sizing – Even a slight deviation in measurements can affect fit. We recommend reviewing your current measurements and our sizing chart, or contacting us for help selecting the best size.
- Rib cage expansion – In later stages of pregnancy, many women experience rib expansion as the body accommodates the growing baby. This can make over-the-bump garments feel tighter than earlier in pregnancy.
- Softening the waistband – Washing the leggings and then gently stretching the waistband over the back of a chair for a few hours can help soften the elastic and improve comfort without damaging the garment.
- Pause wear if needed – If the garment is currently uncomfortable, stop wearing it for a few days and reassess the fit.
We want you to feel supported, not restricted. Please reach out with your measurements or any concerns — we're here to help you find the most comfortable and effective fit possible.
PREGNANCY UNDER THE BUMP ELASTIC TOO TIGHT.
If the waistband on your SRC Pregnancy garment feels uncomfortably tight, it may be due to one of the following:
- Incorrect sizing – Even a slightly smaller size can create excessive pressure around the waist and abdomen.
- Positioning – The waistband should sit comfortably under the bump, not across or above it.
We recommend the following:
- Double-check your size using our [size guide] or contact us for assistance.
- Try adjusting the position of the waistband slightly lower to reduce pressure.
- If discomfort persists, consider trying the Pregnancy over the bump style, which offers the same level of support with a different fit which may suit your body better.

diastasis recti, pelvic floor DYSFUNCTION & MILD urinary incontinence
If you're experiencing diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation), pelvic floor dysfunction, and/or mild stress urinary incontinence, SRC garments can offer targeted support to assist your recovery and improve daily comfort.
Recommended Garment: SRC Recovery Shorts or Leggings
- Designed to treat diastasis recti by providing constant, gentle compression across the abdominal wall, stimulating muscle activation even at rest.
- Backed by independent clinical testing, SRC Recovery garments have been shown to decrease inter-rectus distance and support faster healing.

WHAT IS SRC RESTORE FOR
The garment is indicated for the following:
Mild to Moderate Bladder and uterine Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence
SRC Compression Garments feature a patented Anatomical Support Panel, specifically the gusset panel, which provides continuous compression to the perineum. This compression may activate pelvic floor muscles via a proprioceptive feedback loop, helping to strengthen them and improve their ability to support bladder and uterine function.
Wearing the garment for an extended period, combined with a women’s health physiotherapy program, may speed symptom improvement.

WHAT IS The differences between Recovery Shorts and Restore Mini
The Recovery Shorts/Leggings were designed for use after delivery to help heal abdominal muscle separation, caesarean, and perineal wounds. The leggings have graduated compression which provide good venous return should you have mild/moderate leg varicose veins.
The Restore garments are indicated if you have incontinence or prolapse, they were designed to assist with Mild to moderate Stress Urinary Incontinence and or mild to moderate Bladder/Uterine prolapse.
The Recovery short comes in high waist (the top band ends under the bust) and Restore is to regular waist (ends at the natural waist)
Continuous compression to the perineum has been said to activate pelvic floor muscles through a possible proprioceptive feedback loop. Activating pelvic floor muscles positively influences their strength and their ability to support bladder and uterine function.
CAN I USE SRC GARMENTS FOR SCIATICA
Sciatica is commonly caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve, often due to nerve root impingement in the lower back or dysfunction of the sacroiliac joint (SIJ). In cases involving the SIJ, the piriformis muscle can go into spasm, contributing to compression of the sciatic nerve. Applying targeted compression to the pelvic and sacral regions has been shown to stimulate surrounding stabilising muscles and enhance proprioception, offering symptomatic relief.
SRC Pregnancy and Recovery and Restore Garments are specifically designed with patented Anatomical Support Panels and True Cross Compression to deliver consistent, anatomically targeted support to the pelvis, lower back, and sacral areas. This makes them particularly effective in managing SIJ-related sciatic pain. In one case study, the application of external compression using SRC Pregnancy Leggings significantly reduced pelvic instability and pain caused by SIJ dysfunction, restoring full mobility within two weeks.
While SRC garments may not directly treat nerve root compression from disc herniation or spinal stenosis, they can:
- Stabilise the lumbo-pelvic region, reducing mechanical strain.
- Improve muscle tone and proprioceptive feedback, supporting postural alignment.
- Reduce inflammation and swelling, particularly when symptoms stem from musculoskeletal contributors like pelvic instability.
As highlighted in broader compression therapy literature, garments like compression shorts and tights also:
- Enhance circulation and reduce swelling
- Provide warmth to relax tight muscles
- Improve alignment of the lower spine and pelvis
- Offer general pain relief and support for weak muscles
According to SRC Health survey data, Sciatica was reported in 19%–28% of participants during pregnancy and recovery phases, indicating frequent use of these garments for nerve-related discomfort.
SRC compression garments may provide effective, non-pharmacological relief for sciatica associated with sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pelvic instability. While they may not resolve nerve root compression directly, their design promotes functional muscle activation and alignment, offering significant symptomatic support.
CAN I USE SRC GARMENTS FOR A bulging disc in MY lower back
Yes, SRC garments can be used to help manage symptoms of bulging discs in the lower back, though it's important to understand their specific role and limitations:
How SRC Garments May Help with Bulging Discs in the Lower Back:
1. Stabilisation & Support:
SRC Pregnancy and Recovery Garments provide targeted compression to the lumbar and sacral spine. This stabilisation may reduce excessive movement and help ease muscle guarding around a bulging disc.
2. Pain Relief:
The True Cross Compression design delivers consistent support throughout movement, which may alleviate tension in surrounding muscles and reduce referred pain (including into the gluteals or legs).
3. Posture & Proprioception:
Improved core engagement and posture through anatomical support panels may reduce pressure on the affected disc, especially in day-to-day activities like walking, standing or sitting.
4. 24-Hour Wearability:
SRC garments are safe to wear day and night, making them ideal for ongoing support without causing muscle deactivation.
Limitations:
- SRC garments do not treat the bulging disc itself or reverse structural issues.
- If nerve root compression is severe (e.g. causing numbness, weakness, or bladder/bowel issues), SRC garments should only be used in conjunction with medical supervision.
- Not a replacement for physiotherapy, guided exercise, or medical treatment when needed.
Clinical Insight:
While SRC garments are not specifically marketed for disc herniation, the lumbo-sacral back support, muscle activation benefits, and pain management properties can make them a useful adjunct in managing symptoms associated with disc bulges, particularly when paired with physiotherapy or conservative care.
CAN I USE SRC garments 24/7
Yes, you can and should wear SRC garments 24 hours a day if needed. They're engineered for safe, comfortable, continuous use, and many of their therapeutic benefits (e.g., pain relief, improved circulation, safer recovery) depend on consistent wear. _
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH THE GARMENT
Wash after 2–3 wears, or daily if worn during heavy activity or sweating. SRC garments are tested for 100+ washes without losing support.
CAN I USE MY SRC GARMENTS IN A SWIMMING POOL
No, SRC garments are not designed for use in swimming pools. Chlorine and salt water can damage the compression fabric and stitching, reducing effectiveness and lifespan.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any questions.
CAN I WEAR MT SRC GARMENTS TO THE BEACH
Yes, they can. Just wash it as normal after.
SRC FABRIC MATERIAL
Thank you for the inquiry.

Although SRC has not specifically registered for OKEO-TEX certification, the components of Nylon and Elastane are generally considered OKEO-TEX compliant.
WHAT TYPE OF MATERNITY PAD / UNDERWEAR ARE BEST
Thank you for the inquiry.
We recommend the use of maternity pad with a sticky line in the middle of the underside but not a full plastic layer underneath. Any maternity pad will work. Wear with underwear.
Some women prefer to wear disposable underwear during the first week post-delivery.
THE SEAM OF MY RECOVERY SHORTS SITS ON MY C-SECTION WOUND AND IS IRRITATING.
Sorry that the seam runs directly across where your c-section wound is and causing discomfort, you may want to exchange the Recovery garment for the C-Section style. Or you may prefer to stick a maternity pad to the outside of your underwear directly over the wound for added protection.

Could you tell how long the packs usually stay cold and hot for?
It will likely depend on many factors:
e.g.: how hot/cold it is in the room, e.g.: 30 deg heat, the ice pack will get less cold faster! If it is cold and you are putting on the heat pack, it may cool faster than “normal”.
For both heat and cold, it is generally recommended to not apply for longer than 20 minutes. Do not apply to skin without their covers.
TAILBONE PAIN
Tailbone pain (also known as coccydynia) is a common issue during pregnancy and postpartum, often caused by the pressure of the growing baby, changes in posture, or trauma during childbirth.
SRC garments may help by providing gentle compression and support to the pelvis and lower back, which can relieve pressure on the tailbone and improve overall alignment. If your tailbone pain is severe or persistent, we recommend consulting a physiotherapist or healthcare professional for further assessment and tailored treatment.
CAN I USE SRC RECOVERY GARMENTS POST LAPAROSCOPY
Yes, you can wear the Recovery shorts after laparoscopy, the garment will provide gentle compression that will help reduce swelling and therefore pain.
Restore garments - Can you please provide information regarding the fabric.

CAN I WEAR SRC PREGNANCY FOR round ligament
Round ligament pain is common during pregnancy, often felt as sharp or aching pain in the lower abdomen, hips, or groin area. it’s caused by the stretching of the ligaments that support the uterus as it grows.
SRC pregnancy shorts and leggings can help by providing targeted compression and support to the lower abdominal and pelvic regions. this support may reduce strain on the ligaments, minimise discomfort, and allow for more comfortable movement throughout the day.
if the pain is severe or persistent, it's always best to speak with your healthcare provider.
what src garment helps with vulval varicosities
The best SRC garment for vulval varicosities is the SRC Pregnancy Shorts or Leggings.
These garments are specifically designed with targeted compression panels that support the pelvic area and can help reduce the pressure and discomfort caused by vulval varicosities. The gentle, consistent compression promotes better venous return and helps minimise swelling in the vulval region.
For postpartum support, SRC Recovery Shorts can also be beneficial if symptoms persist after birth.
For best results, choose the Pregnancy style during pregnancy and transition to the Recovery style after delivery, based on your symptoms.

The SRC RESTORE garment is specifically designed to provide support for inguinal hernias. Its targeted compression helps support the lower abdominal area, reducing discomfort and helping manage the hernia during daily activities. This garment can be worn pre and post op for a safer recovery.
If you have an inguinal hernia, wearing the SRC RESTORE can offer gentle, effective support. However, it’s still important to follow your healthcare provider’s advice regarding hernia treatment and management.
Do I need to use a belly band with your product?
No, you do not need to wear a belly band with any of our products. If you choose to wear them together, please do not let the Velcro snag the SRC fabric.
The SRC Pregnancy garment can be worn on its own to support your baby carrying pelvis, to reduce the stress placed on it and be in the best shape for delivery.
The garment is available in 2 styles, under and over the bump.

CAN I WEAR THE SRC RECOVERY GARMENTS POST AN ILEOSTOMY
SRC Recovery garments are not recommended for wear over an ileostomy. The presence of a stoma bag, which collects liquid waste, makes it difficult to wear compression shorts comfortably or safely over the site. The compression may interfere with the function of the bag or cause discomfort.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or stoma nurse for advice on appropriate support garments designed specifically for use with an ileostomy.

WHAT GARMENT IS SUITABLE FOR OSTEITIS PUBIS
The most suitable SRC garment for osteitis pubis is the SRC Restore Shorts (for postpartum or non-pregnant individuals) or the SRC Pregnancy Shorts/Leggings (if symptoms occur during pregnancy).
These garments provide targeted compression to the pelvic girdle, including the pubic symphysis, helping to stabilise the pelvis and reduce inflammation, pain, and movement-related discomfort. The gentle, consistent compression may support healing and allow more comfortable movement during daily activities.
However, for moderate to severe cases, it’s essential to consult a physiotherapist or healthcare provider for a complete management plan.
haemangioma
https://www.childrens.health.qld.gov.au/fact-sheet-haemangiomas/
Compression therapy – early stage
Custom-made compression garments can prevent soft-tissue expansion of some vascular lesions in the early growth phase. This can also help to block the veins, shrink the vascular anomaly, and reduce swelling and aching in the limbs.
what SRC GARMENT SHOULD I WEAR FOR AN Umbilical hernia
The most suitable SRC garments for an umbilical hernia are the SRC Recovery Shorts or SRC Rehab Shorts. Both styles provide high-waisted, targeted compression that supports the abdominal wall — including the area around the belly button where umbilical hernias typically occur.
This gentle, consistent compression helps reduce pressure on the hernia site, supports the surrounding muscles, and may minimise discomfort during daily movement.
While these garments can assist with symptom relief, they do not treat or repair the hernia. Always seek advice from your healthcare provider to ensure compression is appropriate for your condition.
WHAT GARMENT IS BEST TO WEAR FOR A LEVATOR ANI AVULSION
The most suitable garment for levator ani avulsion is the SRC Restore Shorts.
Levator ani avulsion involves detachment of part of the pelvic floor muscle (usually after vaginal delivery), which can lead to pelvic floor weakness, prolapse, and ongoing symptoms like heaviness or poor pelvic support. The SRC Restore Shorts provide targeted compression through the pelvic area, supporting the muscles, fascia, and pelvic joints without restricting movement.
While compression cannot heal the avulsion itself, the support offered by Restore Shorts may help reduce strain on the pelvic floor, improve comfort during movement, and assist in overall pelvic stability as part of a broader rehabilitation program guided by a pelvic health physiotherapist.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PREGNANCY OTB MINI vs OTB SHORTS
Length & Coverage:
Mini shorts are shorter, ending just below the groin. OTB shorts are longer, reaching mid- lower thigh.
CAN SRC Pregnancy garmentS help prevent prolapse
SRC pregnancy garments include a specially designed gusset that provides gentle compression to the perineal area, which encourages subtle activation of your pelvic floor muscles. This support helps maintain pelvic floor strength during pregnancy, reducing strain and potentially lowering the risk of pelvic organ prolapse. Combined with pelvic floor exercises, the garment aids in promoting pelvic stability and comfort as your body changes.
WHAT GARMENT SHOULD I WEAR FOR A VAGINAL HYSTERECTOMY SURGERY FOR PROLASPE WITH ANTERIOR SACRAL LIGAMENT SUSPENSION AND ANTERIOR/POSTERIOR PLICATION
For recovery after a vaginal hysterectomy with anterior sacral ligament suspension and anterior/posterior plication, the recommended garment to wear is the SRC RESTORE.
The SRC RESTORE garment is specifically designed to provide gentle, anatomical support to the pelvic region during post-surgical recovery. It helps reduce swelling, supports healing tissues, and offers stabilisation to the pelvic floor without excessive pressure, making it ideal for this type of surgery.
Always ensure you follow your surgeon’s guidance on when to start wearing the RESTORE garment and choose the correct size for comfort and effectiveness.
WHAT GARMENT SHOULD I WEAR FOR Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)
If pregnant, we recommend wearing SRC Pregnancy Garments (shorts or leggings) for gentle pelvic support and improved circulation.
If not pregnant, we recommend SRC Recovery Garments after delivery or SRC RESTORE garments to provide targeted pelvic support and help relieve symptoms thereafter.
CAN I WALK & EXERCISE WITH PROLAPSE
Yes, you can walk and exercise with prolapse, but it’s important to choose safe activities and manage intensity. Walking is generally safe and helps improve circulation and pelvic health. Low-impact exercises like swimming, Pilates, and gentle yoga are recommended, while high-impact or heavy lifting should be avoided as they may worsen symptoms.
Wearing the SRC RESTORE garment during activity can provide targeted pelvic support and help reduce discomfort by stabilizing the pelvic area. It’s also beneficial to work with a pelvic floor physiotherapist to create a safe, personalized exercise plan.
I DON’T LIKE THE DESIGN OF YOUR PRODUCT BUT IT HELPS WITH PAIN RELIEF
We really appreciate your feedback and will pass this onto our R&D department.
WHT SRC GARMENT SHOULD I WEAR for Sacro ILIAC PAIN?
The Pregnancy garment has been designed and tested to treat multiple conditions during pregnancy such as low back and pelvic girdle pain, SIJ or sacroiliac joint pain, vulval and mild to moderate leg varicose veins. If after giving birth you are still experiencing Sacroiliitis, we recommend wearing the Recovery garment. Both garments have the back and gusset support panels that will provide continuous gentle compression to the sacroiliac joints and pubic bone area to reduce pressure and pain, treat perineal wounds and c-section. The garment will improve your mobility and pelvic muscle function making caring for your baby much easier.
